Update August 15th, 2023

The journey so far has been slow in terms of what we see, but we have built a foundation that will last for 30+ years without moving an inch. The entire property has been raised 1.5 meters above original grade to mitigate the dangers of flooding. The fence metal posts that surround the property are fixed into concrete posts that are 1.5 meters above surrounding grade, 1 meter below and sitting on a 1 meter concrete pad… that’s each of the 50 posts that are around the property. In between them we are filling the space with keystone blocks, filling the property with ballast and stabilizing the fill with a lot of geogrid. It is a bit of a geo-engineering feat!

The foundation for our container has been poured, and it too was an incredibly impressive foundation, the container will be sitting on 8 posts that are close to 4 meters tall, about 2 meters below original grade, and 80cm above court level. the second level above the container will be supported by 4 posts on the court side and 4 more on the back of the container.
